The children who attend Upper Horfield Nursery will be the next generation of doctors, nurses, teachers, receptionist and all manner of other professions. At this nursery it is essential that the practitioners, parents and children aim high. Next steps will be set for children to ensure they are making the best progress.
It is essential that children are kept safe and secure when they are in the nursery and when they are at home. The nursery has many policies that are in place to allow children to have fun but also to remain safe. Risk assessments are kept in order to reduce the number of accidents that take place, and parents are informed if something unfortunate does happen
We are also clear that we must protect children who maybe at risk, and therefore we have good links with Early Help
One of the side benefits of the children coming to a nursery like this, is that the parents are able to trust a childcare provider, so they are able to return to work or training, knowing their children are being cared for in an OUTSTANDING setting. Children who live in households where parents are working are much more likely to do well
Children have the right to be healthy and with the practitioners support and guidance, working in partnership with parents, they will have all the essential skills to stay healthy (click on the jigsaw to learn more on staying healthy
When children are happy, they learn so much more. It is the intention of all the professionals in the nursery to work hard to create an environment where children learn whilst enjoying themselves. The resources and activities will allow children to explore and develop at a pace that works for them as individuals.
